Henricksen is proud to announce the promotion of Emily Hurd to General Manager for Wisconsin. A Partner of Henricksen, Hurd will lead the company’s Wisconsin operations, guiding continued growth while reinforcing the personalized service that defines Henricksen.
As a full-service workplace solutions provider, Henricksen combines national scale with the responsiveness and care of a local partner. Operating from 13 offices across the Midwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and South—Henricksen serves clients nationwide while remaining deeply connected to the communities and markets it supports. Specific to Wisconsin, Hurd will oversee operations, aligning teams across sales, project management, design, and delivery to create a seamless client experience and support continued growth throughout the region. She succeeds Chris Knoeppel, who was recently promoted to Henricksen’s Chief Growth Officer.
“Emily brings a strong understanding of both the client-facing and operational sides of our business, shaped by her experience leading teams and building relationships in the market,” said Knoeppel. “She understands how to align people, processes, and priorities across multiple markets, and she is well-positioned to lead this next chapter of growth.”
Having entered the furniture industry in 1999, Hurd has built a career defined by leadership, client insight, and market expertise. Her experience spans a variety of sales and leadership roles across furniture dealership organizations. Since joining Henricksen in 2015, she has played an important role in the company’s continued growth and was named a Partner in 2018. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Business Development, where she cultivated strong partnerships with architects, designers, general contractors, and brokers while leading key sales initiatives and broadening her operational leadership across the organization.
“I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my career and building on the strong foundation already in place across the region,” said Hurd. “Henricksen has a long history of women in leadership, starting with founder Shirley Henricksen, which makes stepping into this role especially meaningful. I strive to lead with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation, creating meaningful outcomes for our clients in Wisconsin.”
Known for her collaborative leadership style and deep commitment to people, Hurd believes great teams create great outcomes. She is passionate about mentoring others, helping colleagues grow professionally, and understanding the unique challenges clients face across the diverse industries Henricksen serves. Her ability to balance operational excellence with genuine relationships has earned the trust of teammates, partners, and clients alike.
Outside of work, Hurd is involved in several community and conservation-focused organizations, including Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation, a land trust dedicated to protecting the Cedar Lake-Cedar Creek watershed, and the Real Estate Alliance for Charity, a non-profit organization that offers grants to local charities. She also treasures time with her family, including her four children and two grandchildren, and enjoys staying active outdoors as an avid skier and cyclist.
