This Women’s History Month, Henricksen is honoring remarkable women in our industry, thoughtfully nominated by our employees for their inspiration and impact. Today, we feature Preeti Reddy, Partner + Director of Interior Design at sshape in Washington, DC. A creative leader in the DC market, Preeti’s dedication to her clients and team serves as an inspiration to her peers.

Preeti is passionate about mentoring others and uses her role to amplify voices that often go unheard. Inspired by barrier-breaking women, such as chef Dominique Crenn and Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, she takes pride in paving the way for women in similar positions within the design industry. Preeti hopes to inspire women to assert their opinions, have confidence in their decision-making, and embrace their unique work styles.

Beyond mentorship, Preeti is deeply committed to community service. She has volunteered with United Way, packing winter and food kits for families in need, and at the Capital Area Food Bank, sorting and assembling meals for underprivileged communities. Preeti’s dedication to service reflects her passion for making a meaningful impact wherever she goes, from within the workplace and beyond.

As we move through Women’s History Month, Preeti encourages other women in design leadership roles to pay it forward by helping shape the next generation of designers. Whether through a formal mentorship program or simply taking someone under their wing, Preeti urges others to guide young talent and serve as attentive listeners to uplift other women in the design industry.
