After seventeen years at our previous showroom, Henricksen sought a fresh start—one that connected us more deeply with a vibrant neighborhood, offered plentiful amenities, and elevated our brand while showcasing our expertise. The ideal space needed secure, easily accessible parking, access to healthy food choices, outdoor space, and a gym. Most importantly, it had to reflect our commitment to sustainability, adaptability, and innovation.

The bar was high, but we found the perfect home in The TractorWorks Building. Located at 800 Washington Avenue North in the historic North Loop, TractorWorks blends a rich history dating back to 1902 with forward-thinking workspace innovation. Originally repurposed in the 1960s and renovated in 2018, it stands as one of the first creative commercial buildings in the area, making it an ideal setting for our new showroom.

Relocating to North Loop came with challenges, but our team remained committed to cost-neutrality while investing in new technologies to support our hybrid workforce. We balanced our vision for a sophisticated space with sustainability efforts, creatively reusing 60% of our existing products to keep materials out of landfills. By integrating products from nearly twenty manufacturers, we crafted an adaptable environment that fosters both collaboration and focused work. The result is a maker’s space—a hub for partners and clients to explore, learn, experiment, and grow.

Beyond aesthetics and function, our commitment to health and well-being has been recognized on a global scale. We are thrilled to announce that Henricksen’s Minneapolis showroom has been awarded the prestigious Fitwel 1 Star Rating certification. This internationally respected standard highlights our efforts in optimizing building design and operations to promote physical, mental, and social well-being.

Fitwel, the leading certification system for healthy buildings, underscores our mission to create workplaces that enhance well-being. Our success was made possible by our dedicated team, including Debra Barnes, Principal, Vice President + General Manager, and Honey Ribar, Minneapolis Showroom Coordinator, alongside our trusted partners—Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, HGA, and Mission Construction.

This recognition is more than an award; it’s a testament to our unwavering commitment to sustainability, wellness, and innovation. Every element of our new showroom reflects these values, ensuring that our space not only inspires creativity but also supports the well-being of everyone who steps inside. We extend our gratitude to Fitwel for acknowledging our efforts in health-promoting design and pledge to continue leading the way in sustainable, people-centered work environments.
