Employee-owned FORCE America believes in promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. In partnership with Henricksen, the organization is exploring workplace enhancements across its nationwide office locations to support growth, empower employees, and reflect its ownership-driven culture. These efforts demonstrate FORCE America’s commitment to employee satisfaction and reinforce its mission to empower customers with the best hydraulic solutions.

While Henricksen engaged with FORCE America in 2020 on a single-site relocation in Wisconsin, deeper discovery conversations revealed broader organizational goals. Henricksen recognized the opportunity to provide more comprehensive services to support the company’s national presence. As part of the relationship development, Henricksen hosted the FORCE America team at the HNI showroom in Chicago, allowing stakeholders to experience product quality firsthand and evaluate solutions in person. As another project surfaced at the company headquarters in Savage, Minnesota, the team members also toured Henricksen’s Minnesota showroom. This early engagement laid a foundation of trust and collaboration. FORCE America sought a cohesive team to expertly guide them through the project process, a trusted partner to meet their workplace needs while remaining on schedule and within budget.

“From our very first project together in Brookfield, Wisconsin, my impression of Henricksen was extremely positive. Even in a challenging post COVID construction environment, their team remained upbeat, responsive, and truly collaborative,” said FORCE America Executive Chairman John Stenz.

The transformation of FORCE America’s 123,000 sq. ft. Savage, Minnesota, workplace stands as a testament to the success of this collaborative partnership. With each project, the organization strives to create a contemporary environment through architecture and furniture solutions that reflect its modern business approach. For Savage, the Henricksen team worked closely with FORCE America leadership to understand departmental needs and workflows, including solutions to support both focused work and collaboration. Conducting these conversations in the Minnesota showroom allowed stakeholders to visualize solutions clearly and make confident, informed decisions.

Programming discussions focused on enhancing productivity, comfort, and organization while supporting IT and facilities operations with storage, panel heights, ergonomics, and sightlines as key considerations. Notable solutions included ergonomic workstations, integrated power and wire management systems, tailored storage solutions, and acoustical privacy elements. Height-adjustable desks paired with adjustable monitor arms address comfort, flexibility, and usability across workstations. In addition, selected storage elements support both privacy and functionality.

Furniture and finish selections reinforce the design intent, which balances sophistication and warmth with a moody modern palette that features deep navy tones, dark walnut finishes, and layered grey neutrals. The refined and tailored aesthetic achieves the desired professional yet progressive environment.

“The Savage office serves as one example of how Henricksen is helping us achieve a culture shift,” described Stenz. “We now understand the role design and furniture selections play in employee satisfaction. With each office, we balance focused workspaces with areas that foster connections and mentorship — desirable, collaborative environments that support well-being and efficiency, and help us realize corporate goals.”

As Henricksen continues to work on FORCE America locations in multiple markets, the Savage, Minnesota, project demonstrates how thoughtful space planning and product integration can reduce inefficiencies and support daily workflows. The new work environment allows engineering, IT, facilities, and end users to operate seamlessly within the space. Furthermore, the clean, organized, ergonomic, and visually inspiring environment upholds the 100% employee owned high cultural standards with a workplace where employees feel comfortable, supported, and motivated to do their best.

“When we look at key partnerships, we evaluate the whole experience,” says Stenz. “People buy from people, and that’s why we choose Henricksen. Their team takes personal ownership, follows through, and focuses on making things right, not pointing fingers. The Henricksen team has been so thoughtful and generous in their approach to our projects, and I trust they will continue to be a big part of our long-term success.”

Through proactive engagement, attentive discovery, and innovative solutions, Henricksen continues to help FORCE America realize its vision of dynamic, empowering workspaces. Project after project, the companies are reinforcing a partnership built on trust, shared values, and a commitment to excellence. Together, they are creating environments that align with current workplace trends, emphasizing flexibility, ergonomics, employee well-being, and spaces that attract and retain talent through thoughtful, human-centered design.
