Berlin Packaging relocated its global headquarters to a new fourth-floor workplace at the MART in Chicago, creating a 36,500-square-foot setting for its corporate teams, packaging design work, and client-facing activities. Henricksen developed a comprehensive furniture package for open and private offices, executive offices, conference and collaboration rooms, reception, wellness and support spaces, a coffee bar, design studio, and display showroom. The primary workstation and office standards paired Allsteel Altitude height-adjustable tables with Terrace panels, Approach storage, Further mobile credenzas, integrated power, wire management, and privacy screens. Private offices received height-adjustable desks, wardrobes, filing, open shelving, markerboards, and coordinated storage walls. The package used warm woodgrain laminates, understated textiles, and dark painted accents to connect the furniture with the interior design. Working with Partners by Design and Lumen, Henricksen refined furniture specifications and finish selections while maintaining consistency across the workplace.

Beyond individual work settings, the furniture program addressed the varied ways Berlin Packaging’s teams met, collaborated, designed, and hosted visitors. Task, guest, conference, café, lounge, and bench seating were selected alongside meeting tables, café tables, credenzas, rugs, and other ancillary pieces for shared environments. Henricksen managed pricing, product specifications, procurement planning, delivery logistics, installation coordination, field placement, and punch-list support for the project. The installation plan accounted for union labor, loading-dock access, freight-elevator scheduling, after-hours delivery, and a concentrated installation period. Contract Installations was identified to support furniture installation for workstations, private offices, monitor arms, and ancillary products. The resulting package established consistent furniture standards while giving executive, focused-work, collaborative, studio, hospitality, and showroom areas furniture suited to their distinct uses. Completed in 2026, the headquarters brought these settings together within a unified workplace at Berlin Packaging’s new Chicago address.
