Ever-Green Energy manages the operation of the largest hot water district heating system in
North America , owned by District Energy St. Paul. The system’s primary fuel is a renewable resource: clean, urban wood waste. Renewable energy is produced at an adjacent combined heat and power plant that is also managed by Ever-Green Energy.
When Ever-Green Energy recently relocated to
Landmark
Towers in downtown
Saint Paul , they wanted to continue their environmental story through the interiors of their new office space.
Henricksen worked with Allsteel, Gunlocke and other manufacturers to value engineer and modify products to fit the client's sustainable needs. We were able to use Allsteel products together with formaldehyde free substrate and linoleum worksurfaces for a more sustainable solution. PLA fabrics, made from corn byproducts, were used on the panels. Motion sensors on the task lights in the private and open offices conserve energy when not in use. Overall the products blended seamlessly and provided a sustainable solution that was in line with Ever-Green Energy's efforts and overall brand.
