AMCORE Bank (named for the core of America, the Midwest, which is the area they serve) has been meeting their client’s financial needs for nearly a century. Quite fitting, then, is the 100 year old historic building of their Chicago location on Van Buren. AMCORE selected the site because it is convenient and easy for their customers to access.
Henricksen worked with a team at AMCORE and a team from Larson & Darby Architects & Interior Designers to create a new standards program to better reflect their brand in all of the new AMCORE branches. AMCORE selected Allsteel’s Align product for all areas of the bank – from public spaces to private offices, connecting the bank floor to the behind the scenes areas. Henricksen also coordinated the construction of a media center for the bank lobby with a Heat & Glow fireplace as well as custom millwork teller stations.
AMCORE chose to standardize on Align for the flexibility in finish options, using a wood veneer, a patterned fabric, or a combination of the two. This product allows them to go from systems furniture in the open office areas to freestanding furnishings in the private offices without having to force two product lines together.
Henricksen has been involved in a number of AMCORE’s projects. The new standards enhance a guest’s impression of the bank and also reflect the company’s overall growth and success.
