Roundy’s is one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest grocers. They are committed to the community they serve, as evidenced by their many charitable programs, as well as their recent decision to relocate their headquarters to the revitalized lakefront area in Milwaukee. They chose the downtown location because it is a vibrant place to live, work, play and shop, and is near parks and the art museum.
Roundy’s wanted to create a refined, upscale space to enhance their corporate image. They wanted to build an inviting and creative work environment in order to attract and retain top talent. To create an open feel, they incorporated elements of glass throughout the space.
Henricksen was able to provide a wide variety of product offerings to fit their needs. Allsteel Terrace 2.6, Gunlocke Medley, Mantra, Davis, and Humanscale contribute to the overall interior of this new office space. Henricksen outfitted close to 550 workstations, 12 private offices, 25 conference rooms, the lobby area and a cafeteria. Henricksen also specified and provided furniture for their distribution center 20 miles away from the new corporate headquarters.
