Work station upholstery made from corn? Biodegradable work surfaces made from wheat stock and flax seed? Sounds impossible, right? These are just a few of the environmentally conscious applications Henricksen supplied for Fresh Energy (Formerly Minnesotans for an Energy-Efficient Economy) when it moved into its new space. Fresh Energy is leading the transition to a clean, efficient, and fair energy future. Henricksen was more than happy to facilitate the transition by incorporating the values of this nonprofit organization into its interior space, right down to the recycled steel in a work station panel.
Fresh Energy desired to capitalize on its new space without compromising values or pocketbooks. Fresh Energy collaborated with BWBR Architects to create an office design mindful of the environmental needs of this nonprofit organization. Henricksen selected Allsteel Reach and Terrace systems to meet these standards while also maximizing the use of natural light to improve the mood, energy and productivity of its employees. This gives a whole new meaning to the term “energy efficiency.”
For more than ten years, Fresh Energy has transformed progressive environmental ideals into governmental policy. With its new space, Fresh Energy lives the change it wishes to seek.
